17th St. Festival
Saturday, September 14th noon-6pm
Come out and enjoy some of D.C.’s finest at the annual 17th St. Festival. Events include concerts all day long, art exhibits, shopping, face painting, and more!

Nationals vs.  Braves Baseball
September 16 – 18
Tickets: start at $10
Come out to the ballpark to watch the Braves take on the Nats in this three game series. Check out the schedule for special promotions and to purchase your tickets!

5K Walk and Roll Against Bullying
September 21
Registration: $20
Join AJE on Saturday, September 21 as they take a stand and say “NO!” to bullying. Your support will help students, families, educators, and communities to address bullying prevention.

Library of Congress National Book Festival
September 21 and 22
This year’s festival will feature authors, poets and illustrators in several pavilions. Festival-goers can meet and hear firsthand from their favorite poets and authors, get books signed, hear special entertainment, have photos taken with storybook characters and participate in a variety of activities.

D.C. Latino Festival
September 22; 11am-7pm
The festival will feature five stages that will incorporate performances from outstanding artists, international and local folklore acts, theatrical performances, and much more. The Parade of Nations will include hundreds of dancers from Latin America, Spain, and the Caribbean. In addition, the event includes a children’s festival, science fair, international cuisine, community based organization information fair, Diplomatic pavilion for embassies and consulates, arts and crafts, and public information.

Written In Bone: Forensic Files of the 17th Century Chesapeake

National Museum of Natural History
Written in Bone examines history through 17th-century bone biographies, including those of colonists teetering on the edge of survival at Jamestown, Virginia, and those living in the wealthy and well-established settlement of St. Mary’s City, Maryland.

D.C. VegFest
Saturday, September 28 11am-6pm
This annual vegetarian celebration is a FREE outdoor festival featuring over 100 exhibitors, cooking demonstrations, speakers, free food samples, and more.
