Escape from the Inaugural Dupont Circle Night Club Tour – Friday, Jan. 20 – Saturday, Jan. 21 8:30pm-1:30am
Immerse yourself in the club scene by going to four different locations: Public Bar, Rosebar, Dirty Bar, and the last stop is a surprise! De-stress from the Inauguration Day traffic by dancing the night away. Some of the clubs do have dress codes, so dress to impress. The club tour will continue even if there is rain. You will meet at the Public Bar initially.
Metro: Walk about minutes to Judiciary Square Metro Station, take the Red line towards Shady Grove and exit at Farragut North Station, then walk about 4 minutes to Public Bar.

Women’s March on Washington – Saturday, Jan. 21 starts at 10am
Stand in solidarity to fight for the protection of rights for women, those of diverse religious beliefs, the LGBT community, and ethnicities being marginalized. All are invited to participate in the march. Exercise your right to protest in a nonviolent manner to shed light on the unfair treatment of minorities.
Metro: Take the Orange line to Capital South Metro Station, get off at Federal Center SW Station and walk about 3 minutes to the intersection Independence Ave SW & 3rd St SW.

U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing 40 minute Tour – Now through March 6 Tour times: 9am-10:45 am or 12:30-2pm weekdays only
Want to learn how to make money? Take a tour of U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing to learn how. Learn about the different treasury notes and the history behind the money. Gain insight into the Treasury Department and learn who controls the money in the United States.
Metro: Walk about 17 minutes to Capital South Metro Station and take the Silver Wiehle Reston East line to Smithsonian Station then walk about 7 minutes.

Underground Comedy at Wonderland Ballroom – Sunday, Jan.22 8pm-9:30pm
Stressed about move in? Laugh the night away with comedic performances with a variety of local D.C. comics. Take a different outlook on Washington D.C. night life with a comedy show!
Metro: Take the Red line from Union Station to Gallery Place Chinatown, then take the yellow line to Columbia Heights Station and walk about 6 minutes.

“She Started it” Documentary Screening and Panel Discussion – Wednesday, Jan. 25 6:30pm-9pm
Be inspired by this motivating documentary screening about five women in the business world. A local nonprofit charity called “Support the Girls” will be attending the event and accepting donations such as feminine hygiene products and women’s bras to donate to homeless women. After the screening, there will be a panel discussion with women involved in the business field. It is a wonderful opportunity for networking and to donate to a charitable cause.
Metro: From Union Station take Red line to Friendship Heights Station and then walk about 4 minutes.

Evening at the Embassy of Peru – Friday, Jan. 27 7:30pm-10:00pm
Submerse yourself into Peruvian culture filled with food, drink, and live performances. Listen to diplomats speak and participate in a Q&A. There may even be a surprise appearance from the ambassador of Peru! Observe Peruvian art and learn of the history the country has to offer. During the event, a film about Peruvian life will be playing and you can watch at your leisure. The event is business casual, and prohibits jeans, sneakers or t-shirts.

Chinese New Year’s Scavenger Hunt – Saturday, Jan. 28 11:30am-3:30pm
Celebrate the Chinese New Year by participating in a scavenger hunt! Meet new people by joining a team based environment to locate specific items (to little or no cost). Collect the most points and your team wins! Make sure to bring a metro card with at least $10 on it and some extra cash on hand for some of the items to find. You will meet at Ollie’s Trolley.

Chinese New Year Festival – Saturday, Jan. 28 11:30am-3pm
It is the Year of the Rooster and it is time to celebrate! Enjoy a variety of entertainment from dough sculpting to acrobatics or make your own red paper lanterns or coloring sheets. The Smithsonian American Art Museum and The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China have collaborated together to construct this magnificent event.
