Each year, the Greater Washington Soap Box Derby Board of Directors has to present a formal request to Congress to obtain permission to conduct the race on the Capitol grounds, which includes that stretch of Constitution Avenue just in front of Union Station.
2014 Father’s Day 8k June 15, 6:30 pm
The Father’s Day 8K is a partnership between the Georgetown Running Club and the Men’s Health Network to promote men’s health and disease detection and prevention. The race proceeds benefit the Georgetown Running Club, which promotes elite post-collegiate running in the Washington community.
