Meet WISH Founder, the Honorable Jacqueline “Jackie” Lewis

Honorable Jacqueline “Jackie” Lewis gained national recognition for her educational leadership when she was consecutively appointed by Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush to the President’s Intergovernmental Advisory Council on Education. As executive director, Mrs. Lewis recommended improvements of Federal education related programs to the President and Congress. These were from Council members, state and local elected officials, representatives of elementary, secondary and post-secondary education and parents.

Marie Dennis
CEO

As the CEO of WISH, LLC, Marie is responsible for running all facets of the business. Marie has a proven executive management track record and over the past 16 years she has been an asset to the company. Prior to joining WISH, Marie was co-owner and founder of Colabours Communications, a graphic design firm. Her role there was a Business and Financial Manager.

She was responsible for all financial, contracts, management and business development activity. Marie also has Logistic Management experience with the United States Department of the Navy. There she was a Logistics Management Specialist. She managed and directed a logistics audit team. Marie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management Administration and Accounting from Clark University in Atlanta, Georgia.

Jean-Marie Leonard
Vice President of School Partnerships & Student Engagement

Jean-Marie joined WISH in 2016, where she leads the school partnership and student engagement teams at WISH. She and her team partner with Colleges and Universities, as well as organizations to ensure that their interns and faculty have the best possible experience while in Washington, D.C. Students live in WISH housing, which is a portfolio of intern only facilities that are fully furnished, in convenient Capitol Hill locations and metro accessible.

One of Jean-Marie’s current priorities is to grow the school partnerships with schools across the country and internationally by forming relationships and negotiating agreements with the organizations.Jean-Marie came to WISH after leading commercial real estate teams and transactions, developing and building client relationships, and leading internship programs for a commercial real estate firm from February 2004 to October 2016. Jean-Marie was a commercial lender from 2000-2005 specializing in small business and commercial real estate lending. Jean-Marie received her BA from University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and her MBA from Strayer University.
