What type of housing does WISH offer to interns?

WISH offers studio apartments, single, double, triple and quad occupancy bedrooms. Double, triple, and quad bedrooms refer to shared bedrooms. It’s up to the needs of the intern. WISH residents live in Classic Capitol Hill apartments or row houses, even Luxury Condos. All WISH locations are Metro-accessible in the heart of the District.

For over 25 years, WISH has provided intern-only housing to thousands of students year-round. With nearly 30 locations, WISH is the largest intern-focused housing provider in the District just blocks from the Capitol, the Supreme Court and Federal buildings. on the front lines of where public policy is made for all careers. WiSE integrates student housing, home campus/on-line classes, intern placement and career development within a flexible program that fits every student’s interests.

How easy is it to apply?

The housing application is free and can be found here. It only takes a few minutes to complete. Each application receives an email verification within one business day. WISH accepts applications year-round!

 

What are the WISH resident policies?

Everyone wants a safe, comfortable living experience. A few rules go a long way to making every intern and student staying with us have a great stay. Click here for resident policies.

 

What is the guest policy at WISH?

Due to Covid-19, Residents will not be permitted to have any visitors, including, without limitation, family members or significant others in any building (including in such Resident’s unit, room or assigned space).

What should I bring to DC?

Bring a full set of linens: pillows, blankets, sheets, and towels. Properties are furnished, including utilities, free high-speed Wi-Fi access, full kitchens, dishware, cookware and appliances (toaster, microwave, coffeepot, etc.), free laundry facilities (irons/ironing boards) and weekly and emergency maintenance. Furnishings also include access to WISH office and building management staff and 24-hour on-call emergency staffing, as well as social and professional development events.

 

How does the check-in process work?

Please email arrivals@internsdc.com to schedule a check-in date and time no later than one week prior to arrival.

Once arrival has been scheduled, interns will receive further details regarding check-in.

 

Can I reach WISH staff outside of regular business hours?

WISH staff can be reached 24/7 in the event of an emergency. The emergency line is available after business hours at: 202-446-3117
