More about the speaker Adam Kress:

Living and working in Washington for more than nine years, Adam Kress is a seasoned professional with extensive knowledge of the Washington job market. His understanding of the inter-workings for various political, non-governmental and federal hiring processes coupled with his professional contacts make him an excellent resource for students.

Kress served as Assistant Director of SUNY Albany’s Semester in Washington program from 2008-2016 and as a visiting professor acting as Director of the SUNY Brockport Washington Internship Program for the summer and fall semesters of 2014.

Adam recently earned a certificate in Museum Studies from Northwestern University (March 2016) and holds a master’s in gender and legislative politics from Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy (2009), a master’s of public administration in government, politics and policy studies from Cornell University (2007) and a dual bachelor degree from Elmira College in political science and public affairs with a minor in American studies (2005). He has been active in professional politics, serving first as an intern and then later as a direct marketing consultant for United States Senator John Kerry (D-Mass.)
