About Our Students
WISH Welcomes Students from the US and Around the World
Interns and students from all over the world wish to experience living in the US. We host interns from over 25 countries who dream of having an adventure in DC, our Nation’s Capitol. There’s NO BETTER WAY to absorb the culture and lifestyle of our country than living with other Americans! And our US students get to meet people from international cultures including interns from across the US.
The DC Experience
The whole world is represented in Washington, DC, and a large network of students and interns live at WISH. Students make lifelong friends and colleagues when they engage in the culture of DC through the WISH community. Meet and network with your peers at WISH free events. View the Calendar of Events
See event photos on our Facebook page. Our receptions, social mixers, outings and speaker series are free to all residents. Have a recommendation/request for an event you’d like WISH to host? Contact email@example.com and let us know!
Live in a Safe Neighborhood

Great location, convenient to Capitol Hill offices. Excellent room-mates! I WISH I had discovered you earlier! I’ll be back.”

For interns from far away, nothing can beat the friendliness, convenience and sense of being there that WISH provides.”
Professor Don deBats, Flinders University, Australia
I had one of the best experiences of my life in DC, and a big part of it was WISH. They have social events planned ahead of time so you meet other interns and network. No one is going to be bored or feel homesick.”
