Best Kids Superhero 5k – Saturday, April 22 starts at 8:00 am
Support the Best Kids Mentorship Program by registering or donating for the race. WISH is excited to be sponsoring and participating in the Superhero 5k. Email questions to

Immerse yourself in the DC’s film festival relative to today’s cultural and societal influences!
Directions: Citywide event, location depends on film time

Bethesda Literary Festival – Friday, April 21 at 7 pm, Saturday, April 22 9:30 am – 9:00 pm, Sunday, April 23 11:00 am – 3:00 pm

March for Science – Saturday, April 22 marching begins at 2:00 pm
Celebrate Earth Day and show off your political spirit with the March for Science.

Celebrate Shakespeare’s birthday at the Folger Theatre with theatrical performances and cake!

Smithsonian Craft Show – Thursday, April 27 – Sunday, April 30 varying times
Check out art pieces by over 120 artists. You can also participate in an auction!
Directions: Take Red Line from Union Station to Judiciary Square Station and then walk about 2 minutes.

Earth Day Plant Sale and Picnic – Saturday, April 29 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Enjoy the beautiful spring weather and lavish lawns of the Tudor Place.
Directions: Take Red line from Union Station to Dupont Circle Station, then transition on to the D2 bus.
