2014 Capitol Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony December 2, 5:00pm
The U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree will be lit by Speaker of the House John A. Boehner during a ceremony on Tuesday, December 2, 2014, on the Capitol’s West Front Lawn beginning at 5 p.m. Architect of the Capitol Stephen T. Ayers, FAIA, LEED AP, will serve as master of ceremonies.

the rink will be open every day except Christmas and New Year’s Day, when it rains or when the temperature drops below 20 degrees.
Hours are Monday-Thursday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
