WISH has been housing short-term interns, students and teachers in Washington, DC for over 25 years, and its founders have been hosting interns since 1990. When you are our guest, you will stay at one of our many Capitol Hill housing locations that make it easy for you to walk to the National Mall, the Congress, the Supreme Court, the Library of Congress, and of course, the museums and monuments. All WISH locations are Metro accessible. The map below shows our many locations on Capitol Hill.
WISH has several intern housing locations a block from the U.S. Capitol, including The Congressional, and our newest location in Northwest Washington, Woodley Park, two blocks from the Woodley Park Metro and the National Zoo.
You’ll meet other interns and students from around the world including England, Scotland, Australia, China, Japan, Poland, Kenya and just about all 50 states who share your interests in Political Science and Public Policy, International Relations, Law, Medicine, Journalism, Business and the Arts.
Many of the photos on our website were taken by the students WISH has hosted. Great friendships have developed among our interns and many come back to stay with us while working in the Nation’s Capital.
